Colorado Mountain College Launches New Class in Tech for Small Businesses
With technology developing at an exponential rate, staying on the pulse of new programs and techniques is a major priority for even the biggest business. With small business it can mean the difference between sinking and swimming, and often times without the help of crack research divisions and focus groups. What's a small business owner to do? If they live in Vail Valley, Colorado, now they can enroll in a class to help them stay on top.
According to the Vail Daily, Colorado Mountain College is launching its "Intro to Information Technology for Small Businesses" course this fall. Created by David Dempsey, IT expert and president of a local consulting firm -- and also soon-to-be professor of said class -- the aim of the class is to "educate small business people about technology, how to work with it as a tool, instead of it being a costly burden."
The course will be held in the evening, making it convenient for small business owners and representatives lacking the time for traditional computer school schedules. Additionally, it is scheduled to last five sessions, with each session focusing on a different aspect of utilizing information technology: saving money, minimizing loss, workforce productivity, working with techs, and a final seminar on using technology to build "The Ultimate Office." Students have the option of attending individual seminars, or taking the whole series as a discount. Sound interesting? The course starts in October, which will be here before you know it, so call up Colorado Mountain College's Vail-Eagle Valley location at (970)569-2900 for more information.
