Nursing Trade Schools - RN, LPN, BSN, MSN

Many universities maintain schools of nursing dedicated to the profession. Some colleges specialize in nothing but nursing. And some schools, notably community colleges, offer LPN degrees along with the standard associate degree in nursing that is designed for successful completion of the RN exam.

Top nursing schools among established universities include the University of California/San Francisco; the University of Illinois and the University of Iowa. These schools offer a bachelors degree in nursing and the popular RN to BSN degree, but do not have programs for associates degrees.

The Chamberlain College of Nursing offers nursing degree programs at every level on campuses in four states. Keiser University has over a dozen associate degrees in allied health that include nursing along with a multitude of other medical specialties. They have fourteen campuses in Florida. Grand Canyon University has a wide variety of degree options including a BSN degree in clinical nursing and a degree in nursing education. Both Keiser and Grand Canyon have online nursing degree programs that include the RN to BSN option and several masters' degrees options.

ITT Tech offers an associates' degree in nursing which can be pursued partially online and partially on campus. The clinical requirement for student nurses means that an RN program can't be completed wholly online, but ITT has over 100 campuses in thirty states. Rasmussen College offers an LPN degree as well as a diploma program in the field. The school also has an associates' degree in nursing available at two of its campuses.
