  5. Indiana University Psychological and Brain Sciences Department has a Clinical Science Program that has been accredited by the APA since 1948.
  6. University of North Carolina Clinical Psychology Program offers an Adult Track, a Children's Track and a Teaching Track to its graduate students.
  7. Yale University Department of Psychology Clinical Psychology Graduate Program is a member of The Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, a coalition of doctoral programs focused on clinical excellence.
  8. Duke University Department of Psychology and Neuroscience offers a training program in clinical psychology with three tracks: adult psychopathology, developmental psychopathology, and health psychology.
  9. Penn State University Department of Psychology includes both adult and child areas of focus within its clinical psychology program.
  10. SUNY Stony Brook Department of Psychology maintains a Clinical Psychology doctoral program that was among the first to espouse the behavioral tradition in the field.
  11. University of Illinois Department of Psychology offers this top ranked Clinical Psychology program at its Urbana/Champaign campus.
  12. University of Iowa Department of Psychology is linked to the Seashore Psychology Clinic that provides a selected clientele for some of the school's clinical psychology students.
  13. University of Pennsylvania Department of Psychology has a clinical psychology program that can take six years to complete -- but for which all accepted students are fully funded for the first five years.

  20. Washington University in St Louis Department of Psychology offers a Clinical Psychology program that incorporates research in the psychology of aging, cognitive neuroscience, and personality formulation.
  21. Arizona State University Department of Psychology includes its Clinical Psychology program as one of six academic focal areas.
  22. Northwestern University Department of Psychology is located on the Evanston campus and is primarily research oriented. There is also a dual degree program in psychology and education.
  23. University of Arizona Psychology Department offers a Clinical Psychology program with seven areas of specialization that include Psychophysiology and Sleep.
  24. Emory University Department of Psychology has three Ph.D. options that include Clinical Psychology, Cognition & Development, and Neuroscience & Animal Behavior.
  25. San Diego State University/UC San Diego Joint Clinical Psychology Program is a collaborative effort offered by the SDSU Department of Psychology and the UC San Diego Medical School Department of Psychiatry. It has been accredited since 1990.
  26. University of Florida Department of Psychology offers the Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology for its graduates interested in clinical work.
  27. University of Miami Department of Psychology is primarily oriented to clinical training, with three focal areas in Adult, Child and Health psychology. The undergraduate program offers a degree in Psychobiology in collaboration with the Department of Biology.
  28. University of Michigan Department of Psychology operates a Mood and Schizophrenia Lab as part of its research and training program for Clinical Psychology.
  29. University of Missouri Department of Psychological Sciences offers a Clinical Psychology program that includes a specialization in Child Clinical and Developmental Psychology.
  30. University of Oregon Department of Psychology offers a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology that has been accredited since 1959. The Oregon Health and Sciences University offers an RN-to-MSN program in Clinical Mental Health.
  31. Boston University Department of Psychology has offered its Clinical Psychology program for over fifty years, training its graduates to be "competent in clinical assessment and intervention skills as well as in general research skills."
  32. Ohio State University Department of Psychology offers a standard Clinical Psychology program but notes that faculty research interests include "health psychology, i.e., cardiovascular and pulmonary disease, cancer, psychoneuro-immunology, [and] women's health."
  33. Temple University Department of Psychology describes its Clinical Psychology program as one that trains its graduates to "think like scientists in their clinical practice and like clinicians in their research."
  34. University of Colorado Department of Psychology and Neuroscience has had an accredited Clinical Psychology program since 1949. Students in the Bachelors in Psychology program are encouraged to apply as participants in graduate research.
  35. University of Georgia Department of Psychology has a Clinical Psychology program ranked among the top ten in the nation for sending its graduates to academic research faculties.
  36. University of Kentucky Department of Psychology has a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology and one in Experimental Psychology/
  37. University of Maryland Department of Psychology offers a graduate Clinical Psychology program that includes research in the areas of addiction, AD/HD, anxiety, depression, HIV-risk behavior, personality disorders and schizophrenia.
  38. Virginia Tech University Department of Psychologyhas a highly competitive graduate program in Clinical Psychology, accepting ten to fifteen percent of its applicants. The campus operates an on-site marriage and family therapy clinic as part of its counseling education program.
  39. West Virginia University Department of Psychology offers a doctorate in Clinical Child Psychology and one in Life-Span Developmental Psychology in addition to standard clinical studies.
  40. Michigan State University Department of Psychology bases its graduate Clinical Psychology training on a lifespan, developmental perspective.
