Top Rated Online MBA Programs & Rankings

A number of established traditional universities have established hybrid online MBA programs that are conducted mostly online, but that require one or more campus visits prior to graduation. A few prominent traditional universities to offer an MBA program that is completely online, including the University of Maryland and the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. Their online MBA degree can be completed in two years.

The Penn State online MBA program also takes two years and requires two one-week periods of residency: one as an intern at a U.S. company and the other on the Penn State campus. The University of Florida's online MBA program that requires five to eight weekend campus visits and offers an accelerated MBA degree option.

Among the accredited online MBA programs offered by distance learning colleges, DeVry University stands out with its areas of concentration in accounting, e-commerce, marketing and a half dozen additional options. Argosy University offers both an MBA degree online and an Executive MBA program (EMBA) for working professionals that can be completed in one year. The University of Phoenix offers online MBA programs with specialization options in accounting and global management.

Kaplan University has an MBA program through their online business school that includes an MBA in Entrepreneurship and an MBA in Finance. Grand Canyon University offers a great choice for wide open career options with their MBA in Health Systems Management. None of the distance learning schools require a GMAT exam, nor does the University of Maryland. All have requirements for completion of a bachelor's degree.
