Psychology Bachelor's Degrees

Many undergraduates take psychology courses because at that stage of growth they become fascinated with the inner workings of the human mind. And some become so fascinated that they want to devote their lives to the study of the mind to be able to either understand themselves and fellow humans better or to help people deal with their problems. When working through your psychology degrees bachelor program, you can expect to gain the follow skills: brain and behavior skills, clinical procedure skills, mental illness recognition skills and patient communication skills, among many others. You will likely be taking courses such as developmental psychology, mathematics, social and behavioral sciences, general psychology, psychological principles, and cognitive psychology, among others. These will help on your path to being a psychologist or psychiatrist.

According to research done by the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, those in the psychology field who have successfully completed a psychology degrees bachelor program go onto make more money than someone who had not completed that course work. The typical salary is between about $35,000 and $90,000 a year. If additional degrees are pursued, the salary can increase a great deal more.
