Fresno Pacific University Introduces New Global MBA Program
Most good MBA programs are of immeasurable benefit when it comes to a career in the business world, but in today’s global economy there is a growing need for MBA programs that reflect that. Fresno Pacific University’s new Global MBA is offering exactly that, and stands perfectly poised to be one of the top MBA degrees of our day.
“The traditional MBA is just the functions of an organization-marketing, accounting, etc.-you assume it’s a domestic organization,” says Dennis Langhofer, director of the program. “We assume we are working … to prepare people here (in the Central Valley) to work in a global environment.”
[...] Another feature of the global MBA is that students will see the world they’re learning about. A two-week international trip, perhaps China or France, is included in the tuition. Study in those nations is expected to give participants experience with international business perspectives, the chance to apply critical analysis and practice in leadership and teamwork skills.
Along with travel, professors at FPU have not overlooked the importance of the internet in a global economy, and have wisely added an online component to the curriculum. Research by the school has indicated a huge demand for MBAs with global concentrations, and this program appears destined for great things.
