Colloquy and Cal State Team Up For MBA

Big news for online degrees today: Colloquy, a subsection of Kaplan, has just announced a partnership with California State University of Monterey Bay (CSUMB) to bring us a fully-online executive MBA program! Classes will start at the end of April, and will cater to those looking to move up the executive ladder by the power of an education.

“Distance learning programs will play a prominent role in higher education of the 21st century,” said Chris Hasegawa, dean of extended education and international programs at CSU Monterey Bay. “We understand that the e-learning platform demands a dynamic experience for both the student and the faculty, so we were looking for assistance in delivering a program to meet our objectives, including captivating the online learner. Challenging times require innovative solutions. Our partnership with Colloquy will allow the University to focus on education while Colloquy manages the operations, infrastructure, and technology to deliver our programs and degrees online. This Executive MBA provides the insight, practical tools, and thought leadership to help solve today’s most difficult business issues.”

The Executive MBA will offer experienced business managers the flexibility to continue working while attending classes designed for today’s global market. With the economic downturn and the need to stay ahead of the competition in the business world, many prospective students are now looking to online education to achieve their educational and career goals. According to The Sloan Consortium, of the 18 million students in post secondary degree programs, almost 12% are enrolled in fully-online, degree-granting programs. These enrollments are growing at a rate of more than 10% faster than the overall higher education student population.

Are you thinking of going for that online MBA? Admissions are already open, so check out the CSUMB executive MBA program for yourself and see if it’s right for you.
