Undergraduate Distance Learning Schools
US News and World Report produces an annual ranking survey of the best colleges and universities in the country. This year they produced a ranking of schools that specialize in online education which provides rankings based on area of study. One of the important details about this survey is that all of the schools you see ranked are fully accredited and operate with competent faculty.
For IT degrees Baker College Online, Kaplan University, DeVry, Full Sail and Capella University are the top five schools. For a bachelors degree in business you will find several of these schools ranked as well, along with Herzing University and Florida Tech. Business degrees from the University of Phoenix (UOP) are also worth investigating because of the breadth of specialization available: a there are seventeen choices for area of concentration within a UOP bachelors’ in business administration.
For education and teaching degrees Kaplan University gains the highest recognition for its associates’ in early childhood education program. If you are interested in a bachelors’ degree in educational technology or a degree in curriculum development Liberty University has an excellent online program. UOP can tailor its teaching degrees to meet state requirements because of its size and physical presence in so many locations.
A brief look at medical degrees shows that Grand Canyon University and Kent State have excellent online RN to BSN programs. The best distance learning associates’ degree in health informatics choices are DeVry and Kaplan, as well as Florida Hospital College.
