University of Phoenix Utah Campus Honors Largest Graduating Class

Distance learning has become increasingly appealing over the past few years for a variety of reasons, and it was especially apparent at University of Phoenix’s Utah Campus graduation ceremony last week. 1,075 University of Phoenix online and classroom students earned their diplomas this year, making it the largest graduating class in the university’s history.

Utah’s University of Phoenix campus reached a major milestone on May 3. During commencement exercises that day, the University honored its largest graduating class – 1,075 students, including 19 students from Southern Utah.

The University of Phoenix is Utah’s second-largest private university. Campus locations include St. George, Murray, Taylorsville, North Davis and Provo.

Among the Southern Utah graduates to attend graduation at The E Center in West Valley City were Jackie Hunter, Judy Fancisco, Sharla Christie, Robb Adkins, Dan Huntsman, Natalie Haley, Spencer Kohler and Ruth Morrow. They are all master’s of science in counseling/mental health counseling.

The university owes its ever-growing success to challenging courses combined with the flexibility of online and campus classes, letting students attend college without giving up their current career in the process.
