Organization Awards Students Over $23K in Accounting Scholarships
There was good news this week for Oklahoma college and high school students with ambitions of obtaining an accounting degree: the Oklahoma State Certified Public Accountants’ Educational Foundation just awarded almost $24,000 worth of scholarships to students for use in the 2009-2010 school year. Why? Accounting hopefuls are at a record high right now, and the organization hopes to encourage these students and stoke their flame of interest.
According to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, more students are currently pursing accounting degrees than in the 36 years the information has been tracked. In an effort to assist Oklahoma’s accounting students, the OSCPA Educational Foundation annually awards scholarships to accounting students at Oklahoma colleges and universities.
Scholarships were awarded to high school and college students from all across the state. Are you interested in pursuing accounting yourself? Check out the variety of accounting schools available at Get Degrees!
