MA in Education/Curriculum and Instruction

Those prepared with a Bachelor's in Education may want to continue their studies to receive a Master of Arts degree, and Curriculum and Education is an excellent field in which to do so. Often times an MA of this sort is further split up into several concentrations (mathematics, science, reading, etc) for applicants to choose from, and students will learn advanced theory and classroom technique in their chosen subject. Setting this apart from its Master of Education counterpart, a Master of Arts is significantly more well-rounded in terms of surrounding liberal arts study, and in addition places more emphasis on theory and research than on practicum. This teaching course also provides an ideal foundation for anyone interested in advancing to a Doctorate in Education.
