About Argosy University Allied Health Degree Programs:
According to the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions, "Allied Health professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders; dietary and nutrition services; rehabilitation and health systems management, among others."
Argosy University has several degree programs that lead to professions which belong within this group of health care careers. Among the associate's degree programs are the fields of dental hygiene, medical sonography (ultrasound), medical assisting, two specialties in laboratory technology and two in the radiation field. There is also an option in the field of veterinary assistance.
The allied health selections in Argosy's curriculum have two clear focal points: one is the fact that many of these fields utilize important medical technology, and the other is the projection of rapid job growth in their respective career options. These two-year programs are meant to provide students who are anxious to enter the work force or students who are starting a new career to move through the training stage as quickly as is reasonable and on into the work force.
