About Grand Canyon University Religion Degree Programs:
Grand Canyon University was founded in 1949 by a group of Baptist educators. Since that time it has expanded into a well rounded University with graduate programs in multiple academic disciplines, almost all of them secular. In addition it has developed a distance learning system to provide educational opportunities to interested parties who are not within reach of their Phoenix, AZ campus.
One of their enduring degree programs is the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies. Within the construct of this degree there are four areas of concentration. Those areas include Biblical & Theological Studies; Christian Leadership Studies; The Pastoral Ministry; and Youth Ministry.
In the Christian Leadership option, one of the courses is in the "administrative aspects of leadership." The course description notes that "students explore financial and marketing systems and human resources"… and goes on to note the study of change and transition as well. This particular choice of major clearly takes the application of ethics right to the core of daily business functions.
