ITT Technical Institute in Alabama
ITT operates a brick-and-mortar educational facility in Bessemer, Alabama. It is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area and an iconic symbol of Birmingham's industrial past. In 1855 Henry Bessemer developed an inexpensive process for making steel that revolutionized the industry. The town is named after Henry and was at one time an important steel production location in the South. Today Birmingham is a financial center in the South with a diversified economy that no longer relies on heavy industry. ITT's Bessemer campus is ideally located for students who would like a role in one of the newer businesses that drive Birmingham's economy today.
