ITT Technical Institute in Michigan
There are four ITT Tech campuses in Michigan, located in Grand Rapids, Flint, Troy and Canton. Michigan is probably the state that has been hit the hardest by the economic crisis launched in 2008. The auto plant closures that have followed have only worsened the employment picture in Michigan, where as of June in 2009, the unemployment rate is closing in on 15%. The jobs that are available in Michigan do not match up with those of the men and women who were supported by the state's steel and auto industries. ITT Tech offers its students a chance to redirect their career paths through carefully designed degree programs that match up with new employment opportunities.
