Kaplan University Education Degree

About Kaplan University Education Degree Programs:

Kaplan University may be the online institution that has made the greatest effort to provide online education degrees that prepare the student for a teaching career. Most states require teachers to have a master's degree in their teaching field along with classroom intern experience - all of which culminates in an exam administered by the state.

While requirements vary from state to state, Kaplan's education options are designed to meet the most stringent of guidelines. There are Master's in Education Degrees for Teaching Literacy and Language for grades K-6; grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. There is a similar set of degrees for teaching mathematics to those three student classifications and degrees for teaching science.

In addition, there are Masters' Degrees in Education for management positions in the educational bureaucracy, degrees in such fields as Student Services, College Training and Educational Technology.

Kaplan also offers Certificates for Professional Teachers' Training, a program designed to meet the needs for ongoing education that many states require of their teachers. In Iowa, where Kaplan has six campus locations, you can obtain a Certificate for Teaching Internship, a document that attests to the role of student teacher required in most states.
