Kaplan University Medical Degree
About Kaplan University Medical Degree Programs:
Kaplan University online offers Associates' Degrees in Medical Transcription, Medical Assisting, Medical Coding and Medical Office Management. An Associates' Degree is usually sufficient for employment in these fields, although medical office managers are often promoted from within due to their experience in that particular facility.
There are Diplomas offered through the online program that cover the professions of dental assistant, medical assistant, massage therapy and practical nursing. Licensure is required for practical nurses (Licensed Practical Nurses, or LPNs) but in the other areas, some formal training is sufficient for hiring at the entry level.
Registered nurses may pursue either a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Master's in Nursing Administration through Kaplan. For RNs who didn't receive their training at a college or university, the key to advancement is often a Bachelor's degree. The Master's program prepares a medical professional for relatively high level supervisorial work. There is also a Master's Degree for Nurse Educators available to nurses who wish to get off the hospital floor and teach in a classroom setting.
