Kaplan University Paralegal Degree
About Kaplan University Paralegal Degree Programs:
Kaplan has recognized the growing role that paralegals are playing both within law offices and within the jurisprudence system by developing a comprehensive set of options for its Bachelor's in Science for Paralegal Studies. The program offers eight areas of specialization that include:
• Real Estate Law
• Family Law
• Corporate Law
• Employment Law
• Personal Injury
• Office Management
• Social Security Law
• Legal Technology
Experienced paralegals today will conduct initial interviews with prospective clients, do some preliminary research on the case and prepare a report for one of the attorneys in the office. Paralegals also write briefs for the court and both prepare and transmit various legal documents. The type of training focus offered by Kaplan's Bachelor's in Paralegal Studies program will allow a graduate to enter the profession with advanced skills for specific legal areas.
There is also an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies available online, a degree which is still often sufficient for entry level employment in a law firm or government agency. In addition, there is a Certificate program in Paralegal Studies for people who have already obtained a Bachelor's Degree in another major.
