About Kaplan University Teaching Degree Programs:

Kaplan's Master's programs in teaching cover the academic expectations that exist in most states for teachers who want to work in public schools. There are Master's Degrees in Teaching and Learning for teaching English and Literacy at the K-6 level; at the 6-8 grade level; and at the 9-12 grade, or secondary level. The same three options are available for teaching mathematics. In the field of science Kaplan offers a Master's of Teaching and Learning for teaching science K-6 and for classes 6-12.

Also available are the Master's in Teaching and Learning (MATL) for teaching special needs students, and for specialization in teaching technology.

Kaplan also offers a Certification program for Professional Development, designed to meet continuing education needs. Among the educational requirements for most teaching positions is a number of hours as a student teacher or intern in a classroom environment. Kaplan offers a Certificate as Iowa Teacher Intern, which they are able to do through their six campuses in the State of Iowa.
