Strayer University Accounting Degree
About Strayer University Accounting Degree Programs:
Strayer University online has six Certificates in Accounting options. Two are for undergraduates, one in introductory accounting and the other for advanced accounting. The other four Certificates in Accounting are for graduate level students seeking accounting skills to be used at the executive level. There are three that feature areas of specialization in Controllership, Taxation, and Accounting Information Systems.
There is both an Associates' Degree and a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting offered in Strayer's distance learning program. In their Masters' Degree in Accounting program they offer areas of specialization that include Taxation, Controllership and Accounting Information Systems.
The accounting academic program focuses less on the traditional accounting categorizations of public accountant, CPA, auditor, risk manager and so forth - and more on accounting functions that are critical to business operation. There is sometimes more value to being a tax expert or having thorough understanding of accounting software than there is in the titles assigned to more traditional academic accounting degrees.
