The University of Phoenix has a substantial presence in Florida with twelve campuses divided into four regions. South Florida has campuses in Miami and Fort Lauderdale along with facilities in three other towns. The Central Florida region has two campuses in Orlando and one in Daytona Beach. In East Florida Jacksonville and Orange Park are home to University of Phoenix campuses. In the western portion of the state there facilities in Sarasota, Tampa and St. Petersburg, and in Temple Terrace.The enormous tourist economy in Florida has created service job for many of the state's residents.
