University of Phoenix Legal Degree

About University of Phoenix Legal Degree Programs:

The University of Phoenix does not have a law school and does not offer classes that pertain to the practice of law. However there are a number of professions that require an understanding of legal obligations which are featured in the school's programs.

There is a certificate program available that is completely dedicated to government contract management. Someone who is a dead-end job in purchasing could take this course and qualify for an administrative role for either a government agency or a business that contracts with the government. There is also a certificate available for mediation. This skill applies to labor negotiations, and also to conflicts that may develop between departments in a large business or branches of a firm that is multi-national.

There is also a masters' program for management with a specialization in public administration. This particular skill set is invaluable in many larger cities and other jurisdictions that manage funds funneled through a larger agency, either at the state or federal level.

Compliance with program guidelines is often the key to getting funding renewed the following fiscal year. A masters' in public administration will provide the graduate with an essential understanding of both the financial and human dynamic involved in running an arm of the government.
