About Walden University Doctorate Degree Programs:
Walden offers two degree programs that are doctoral in terms of the required academic endeavor but carry alternative designations to the usual PhD. The first is a Doctorate in Education, or Ed.D. This degree complements the lower educational degrees with training to provide leadership in managing and improving educational environments. It is a combination of online learning and personal residency activities in the field. Areas of specialization that are offered include Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning, Higher Education and Adult Learning, and Teacher Leadership.
The other doctoral option in the Walden catalogue is the Doctorate in Business Administration (D.B.A.) This degree program also includes both a distance learning component and personal residency time. You will have the opportunity to select a mentor based on your area of interest. Those options include Entrepreneurship, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems Management, International Business, Marketing, Social Impact Management and Technology Entrepreneurship.
