In almost all cases, however, proficiency with computers and information technology can help you become a more marketable candidate in your given field. In addition, each successive year of education can help bring you more opportunities. Whereas an associates degree is often the bare minimum for entry, a bachelors or master's diploma can help open more doors.

There aren't too many industries out there that don't relate to mass communication in one way or another. As social animals, we rely heavily on information, communication, and the media necessary for sharing them. Newly graduated advertising students make a median salary of $33K a year while some movie stars earn millions of dollars per picture.
