You will likely make around $46,000 a year working in culinary arts in California. There are variances within the field based on the position that you hold. Obviously the higher the position, the higher the pay. You can pursue any position that you would like, but head chefs and restaurant directors are typically the ones who see the most profit. Some people opt to even rule their own restaurants, and if you chose to do that, the sky would be the limit in terms of how much you make.
