I attend Allied Medical now and am very disappointed as well as most of my fellow classmates. A new teacher just hired for us this mod has yelled at our class numerous times for no reason at all and actually told us she doesn't know why she's there. The scheduling is off, we aren't getting to certain things in our mods that we are suppose to be doing and then we get tossed into a new mod without learning everything from the last one. The attendance policy is rediculous considering it is hard enough to juggle work and school and sometimes kids at the sametime. How a school can fail a great student because they have work, kids or are ill I have no idea but it's not right! I am thinking about transfering to another school after this mod. I believe everyone has their opinion and this is mine...

As a newer student at Allied Medical and Technical Institute, I could say so far, that I am rather satisfied with my education. Most of the instructors that I have had are GREAT and are very concerned about the well-being of their students. Like most have said on here, the anatomy teacher is one of the best instructors I have ever had. I have never met an instructor that made anatomy so comprehensible before! I understand that each school may have some kinks and negatives, but Allied Medical and Technical has really exceeded my expectations. It's a very affordable school and the financial aid rep. was very much willing to work with me despite my financial situations.

I highly recommend the school to anyone that wants a career change, or for even just more education under their belt to fall back on. I took me some time to figure out how I feel about this school, but now I finally have it figured out. I feel that it truly is a great school. My classmates are mostly very nice and in a way, we're like a family. The classes are engaging and challenging, and the instructors care about you, which is something of a rarity among schools.

I see some comments on here that are mixed and negative and I will say up front here that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I respect everyone's views and I take these comments just as their opinions and nothing more. However, please do keep in mind that no matter where you are at, whether you are at Allied or another school, your learning experience is what YOU make of it. Peace everyone! :)

First of all, Eileen, you rock!!! Allied is wonderful, and is one of very few schools that gives you an affordable education and the opportunity for job placement. I challenge anyone to find a school that has as much vested interest in placing their students in jobs for real life practices. For the program I am enrolled in, it would have cost me twice as much money and took twice as much time to complete at other schools I investigated. The aforementioned anatomy teacher is WONDERFUL...gearing our class to what we would practically need to know for the fields we are entering. I would recommend Allied to anyone who is looking for an affordable way to make a career change, the main reason MOST of us are there. Perhaps other peoples' expectations were different than mine, but so far, Allied has more than met my expectations. I encourage those looking to enter the medical field to try Allied for an excellent education and job training.

I would like to write in response to tjJ's comment. I also am a student at Allied, and I am aware of the situation to which she is referring. I would like to point out that tjJ's comments are not only completely out of line, but are not truthful. The instructors are excellent, and the A&P teacher to which she is referring is one of the best. All the instructors obviously have been carefully selected and have years of experience in the field as well as "book knowledge". Allied has an excellent reputation within the medical community in the Scranton area. The student who wrote this blog- or blaaahg!- is extremely bitter due to her own circumstances, and her comments should be taken as just that and no more. She is a student who fights anything and everything with each instructor, and those of us who are at Allied to learn are completely sickened by her false allegations and dramatic nonsense. So, my advice to anyone reading the blog to which I am referring is to read it again--misspellings, run-on sentences that make no sense, and poor grammar speak volumes.

Allied is a wonderful school. Their teachers are very knowledgeable. My Anatomy teacher is the greatest. All the doctors I have spoken with have said great things about Allied graduates, that they have, and would again, be happy to employee them. I am very happy with my decision to attend Allied.

Allied Medical School in Scranton, Pa is full of nice peope but, I do wonder about there credits not being transferable. And that the school has a BAD rep with the doctors, and others in the medical field. The school is quite pricy for what you get. Instuctors are just that one's right out of school teaching you without teaching experience. There is an Anatomy I & II teacher that is BAD. She jumps subjects that are very important, and that will be on your test for MAT cert. test, and you have to over do her job, and the reason you paid $$ to go there. Anyone thinking of applying to Allied Medical in Scranton, Pa---- re-think it now, they want your money.

I am a new student and very concerned that the feedback I am getting from doctors in the area that they do not have a great respect for those graduating. I found 3 doctors that recommended I transfer. Another student in my class is hearing similar comments. I am very worried about where I have put my money and am presently looking to transfer.

I went to Allied School many years ago. Back when it was in Kingston, Pa. I have been a CNA for 16 yrs. Since then I haave went on to futher my education by going on to school for MA. I have Allied to thank for that. I would not be in the medical field if I did nt go to school to better myself back then. The teachers were great and i got to meet new friends. Thanks Allied.
