Attending the Los Angeles campus for the Vocational Nurse program and its really really bad. They change teachers every few weeks, the teachers are sketchy, and everybody is incredibly rude and patronizing. They treat the students like a piece of trash. ALLAN POURAVANES is the direcor of the program and tells us students if you don't like the fact that you dont have teachers, too bad...just study on your own and you'll be fine. WE DIDN'T PAY $30,000 TO TEACH OURSELVES. This place is not professional at all. I hope they get their accreditation taken way and maybe they will because their NCLEX passing scores are very low.

I am a student of the LVN program (Anaheim) and am so frustrated by this school already! The school is only worried about their own reputation and the ability to recruit more students, not education! If you learn from your mistakes you WILL NOT learn here. After taking a test you will not be able to see your test questions again for fear of future students cheating and in turn a lower percentage of first time pass rate on the state licensing board (this % is used for advertisement).
My recommendation: take your $31,500 elsewhere. I wish I could!!! -

I think ACC is a typical private school. They will say all the right things in admissions and charge you way too much for a low paying job. If you can get past all of that and you truly have a passion for nursing and don't want to hassle with 2 year waiting list's and pre reqs I highly recommend ACC! I have had some great teachers (not mentioning any names Sr. Allen) and the staff has always been great when I have needed them. My clinical rotations have been very educational and my clinical instructors have gone out of there way to be sure we all get the hands on training we need! I would recommend ACC to anyone, but to be honest I think most of these schools are all the same. If you don't study everyday and put in the work required to pass it's easy to blame the school. It's my opinion that ACC is doing everything possible to prepare us for the NCLEX but at the end of the day....it's up to you! Good luck!

The school is awesome. They provide you with perfect help. Everyone there is very understanding and always goes out of their way to help in any way they can. They should have a student store for jackets and stuff with school logos.

I currently attend the VN course at the Los Angeles campus. It's horrible!! the school is unorganized, the staff (not teachers) are rude and try to be-little you and treat you like a grade school student. They have convalescent home as your site for terms that should not be there (only term one should be there and they have term 3 in there). and its way!!!! too expensive. I don't know what I was thinking. But I'm here to warn you now. Do your research and don't believe all the promises the "counselors" tell you when they're trying to sell you the program. I hope this helps... Good Luck.

I've heard that success with ACC really depends on what program you're enrolled in so I can't really vouch for everything, but there are good things to say about the VPN program. It's a challenging course, but the professors are helpful and it should help anyone moving on to a career in nursing or medical assisting.
