When I first came here for CAD Drafting, the teachers and the classes were above my expectations. I've had a great time and gained alot of experience from my teachers and the other fellow students. Great class environment as well as good job searching opportunities.

I am enrolled in the CAD Program where my instructor had excellent knowledge about the field. He also assisted me with job placement and certification beyond the scope of the class. He is a real asset to Anthem Institute.

I agree with Maria V. I attended the Medical Billing and Coding class and it was the worse investment I have ever made. The staff is very unprofessional and the teachers are not certified, and the teaching was just horrible! Half of the medical terms could not even be pronounced correctly during teaching the class. I have been in the Medical field for over 10 years and just wanted to get cerified. I feel I was robbed of $10,000. What a waste of time and money. I am schedule to take my state test in which I could have done at that beginning, but of course to get your money they don't inform you of that until after you signed the documents and after the grace period.

I wanted to write this review because when I was researching this school I couldn't find any reviews on it. If i had read something like this I could have saved a lot of time and a lot of money.
I attended the graphic design program at Anthem Institute in Jersey City NJ. When I visited the school I was very impressed with the "Student Work" that was proudly displayed on the walls. What I learned later on was that a lot of that work was from the teachers.
What they don't tell you upfront, is that this is a very introductory program. The program is exactly 12 months long. You learn one program at a time (example Adobe PhotoShop), everyday for 4 weeks. Then when 4 weeks is up you move on to another program (example Adobe Illustrator). Although this sounds great in theory, It did to me. I thought I was going to learn all I needed to know about graphic design in a year, which is why I agreed to pay the $20,000+. Well I was wrong. The classes are extremely slow and the work is very entry level and also they don't give any homework. And because the classes are so slow you don't learn the entire software in 4 weeks. We would only cover maybe 4-5 chapters in the book.
What they also don't tell you is, that in order to get a job in the Graphic design field they recommend further education. What is the point in going there and spending a year of your time and $20,000 if you will need to go to another school anyway?
I only stayed for 5 months. I needed a more structured accelerated program. I am not the only student that felt this way, they were all frustrated and disappointed with the program.
On a positive note, most of the teachers and staff are great people. Although none of the teachers are Adobe Certified. I would only recommend this program for a student just out of High school that isn't sure of the field that they want to go in and may be thinking of Graphic design.
