I attended CDM Institute and find it almost impossible to get a job as a Medical Assistant because the training I received does not qualify me for employment. When I enrolled I was told that they had placement within the industry once I graduated. This was important to me. It has not been provided by CDM; I got no help finding a job. Their sending me craigslist ads is not the employment help promised.
What CDM Institute lacks is hands on training to insure that the Medical Assistant is capable of taking blood and performing an EKG without mistakes or hurting the patients. While a student at the school I was given the opportunity to draw blood three times and only did one EKG. This is not enough training to be a successful Medical Assistant.
The State of New Jersey spent a lot of money to train me but CDM fell short of giving the education our state paid for. Many of the jobs I have applied for do not accept the National Healthcare Certification because it does not meet the higher standards most hospitals and doctors expect. They expect the new CCMA to be capable of doing the job. One EKG does not qualify me to do the job.
CDM Institute rushes the education of Medical Assistants and does not provide the hands on experience needed to educate and provide the confidence for individuals to work in the medical field. Sorry to say but this school is a disappointment and I felt that the State was scammed out of my tuition. I was not given the education I was promised.
I am ashamed to say I graduated from the school and that I am Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. I am not qualified because of a lack of hands on experience and a poor education provided by CDM Institute.
I do not recommend that anyone go to this school, some may get jobs but they are not qualified to hold the position.

Actually its the entire company that is scummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....every location..the owner is more worried about collecting your money then giving the education you deserve, the instructors have been out of the field so long that they are giving the students false information, and if they do give you information, its all information about there personal life..like how many baby fathers they have, there wedding plans, how much christmas shopping they have to do...disgrace... and they actually have some instructors that dont even have experience in the field..dispicable..and they dont even pay there employees on time......RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS SCHOOL....

DO NOT WASTER YOUR MONEY!!111 Don't give one red cent to these scam artists. They will take your check, ,promise you lots of career leads and sit you in a worthless class. You will get nothing from this. Their career counselor sits at a desk and looks at want ads all day. They do not have any affilitiation or ties with any doctors or hospitals as they promise. The course is a total waste of time. They spend entirely too much time on medical terminlogy and not nearly enough on software or billing. The computers go down constantly and waste class time. Their job leads are terrible. You will be lucky if you can get a job as a receptionist making $9.00 per hour. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT do it. Do yourself a favor- if you are that desperate get a job at Shoprite untl the economy gets better. You'll be better off.

CDM as noted in the other review is a place to stay away from. It is poorly run, and the career services do nothing to help you find a job.

Avoid CDM Institute at all cost. This place is absolutely worthless and it becomes very obvious that this place is just in it for your money and nothing else. The classes are very small or dare I say tiny. The computers are very old and outdated and not even compatible with the programs they intend to teach you such AutoCAD & Solidworks. The books are photocopies. The instructor is not a really an actual instructor but more like some person they pulled off the street. The instructor endorses and tries to sell hacked versions of software for an extra buck in his pocket. The career service is an absolute joke and they do not help you whatsoever when you receive your certifications. Your so called certifications do not contain any actual certification numbers just your name printed on a piece of paper. You are much better going to your local community college and finding your interest in the noncredit job training programs that most real colleges offer.
