I was very skeptical about Everest Institute. However, I was going for Practical Nursing and decided to ask the community colleges in my area if they took the license I would receive from Everest They responded with a yes, so I went to the school and truly enjoyed it. I have received my LPN license from the State of Michigan and am making 18 dollars an hour starting as a new nurse. Though the school is pricey, there was no waiting list and now I can continue with my RN license.
I honestly think that the school gets such bad reviews because it costs so much, and because some programs may not be ones that are needed in the community. Nursing is def. needed whether it be for LPN or RN. So chose wisely for what degree you go for.

I am a current an MA student at Everest Institute in Southfield, Mi and I absolutely LOVE it. The teachers help one-on-one if need they even come in early if you need them to. The hands-on clinical and labs are fun. The students and Faculty are great. I tried two other schools before this one and hated it and it was too hard being a single mom with two kids. Everest is very flexibly. I recommend this school to everyone!

I went through their HVAC course and have found their hands-on approach to be very helpful. What I really like is even though I have graduated from the program I still call my old teachers when I need help on a job.

i graduated from everest institute formerly known as olympia and i believe that it was the biggest waste of money i have ever spent in my entire life, just the though of it makes my somach drop. Sallie mae should stop funding loans to people who want to attend this school because thats all they want is your money, they have sales representatives that talk the school up and make it sound like it's great when the program is a complete joke. I was told when started that if i graduated i would be making over $20.00 an hour and if i wanted to further my career that it would count as credits if i decided to attend a community college. Absolutely none of this was true and i now have a job that pays no more than what you would make if you worked waitiing tables and stuck with a $13,000. 00 bill with nothing to show for it. I believe that it is a scam and the institute should be investigated as to where their funds are going.

Today I took a tour with my fiancé. I notice that they were trying to rush her to enroll with the school. They asked a lot of closing questions like “would you be able to start on the 20th of this month? Or what time would you like to come during the day for class?” when the closing questions wasn’t working she started to get an attitude. The course for dental assistant is $15052.65 for 8 months. I came home and did research and I found schools for $895 for 4 months..hmmm. Huge difference. While we parked our cars we notice students in the parking lot blasting music like they were in the hood. The school parking is not well lighted so during night time you don’t know is hiding in the shadows. Overall I’m not impressed with the school.

I am not a graduate from this school, I graduated from The Salter School in 2000, I have been a CMA for 11 years and have had an opportunity to have a few Medical Assistants from this school come and do their externships with me all I can say is that this school is not preparing their students for the field there is a lot more to working in a physician's office than weights and blood pressures. If anyone is considering to go to school for Medical Assisting I would caution you about this school I hear its very expensive in fact on of our local LPN programs is actually LESS than this school's tuition. After finishing classroom time a medical assistant should be able to hit the ground running at their externship my experience with this school's MAs has been very bad

i like everest they teach everything you need to know, its a hands on program if you have a problem with something why waste your time in even doing something your going to complain about later. theres ways you can get out of the program they will refund your money back after certain amount of monthes. I perfer this college because i don't have to be stuck writting 10.000 term papers just to get certified in somnething that can be over with in 8monthes. Like me I did proper research they make it easy for ppl that already don't have a intrest of going to college. so yes they will tell you on commercials to come here and GET AN EDUCATION* it didnt hurt to come and sign up, and it certainly don't hurt to learn what they offer! I believe ppl that complain about everest have not taken simple instuctions to follow like coming to school or doing the externship. I also believe ppl complain about this place bescause they here other ppl complian about it. Have your own mind, set your own goals if you really want to do the program you came for be determain and take instructions and do alot of research in your feild. Find your own job, don't rely on career services to find you a job their not your care taker or anything thier there to help you out give you ideas give you places to check out *duh! think ppl. Don't be lazy with your life and expect ppl to do stuff for you because you misunderstood with they said, you do it for *YOU.

I go to Everest and the only complaint that I have is some of the students. Because I was so embarrassed today when we had a recruiter and 5 different people were blasting outrageous nasty ghetto music and students were yelling and cussing at each other outside and the recruiter was just talking about how horrible this school is. This is only my first month and I'm already mad at just that fact that the people that attend there are making it a horrible place. But i'm trying to just see it as there will always be bad apples and people who ruin it for everyone but I'm going to stick through it and be sure I get the education I paid for. I can't let others actions depict on me. Thats not who I AM. But I love my classmates and teacher and counselor. But a few students, ugh.! they need to leave.!!!
