I went to the National Laser Institute the summer of 2008. I was very satisfied with the quality of education, the educational materials, the split between didactic/classroom learning; clinical training, Laser Safety Officer training, American Red Cross certification and business development training. All the instructors were very knowledgeable and had very good people skills. There was only one instructor who had her own equipment there that was a bit hyper-sensitive about the way students utilized her laser which I thought was a conflict of interest. Other than that, the school was perfect in every way. I would highly recommend going there for either extended training in you existing medical or aesthetics field or like myself, did a complete 360 degree career change from being an Engineer to a Certified Laser Technologist who owns and operates my own laser clinic in Massachusetts and loves every minute of it!!!

If you do not have a job already lined up, DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY ON THIS SCHOOL. WAY overpriced when doctors only use RN's (IN MOST STATES, I have checked every state and applied in every state) to do laser . The laser and med spas pay 12 to 15 an hour...and and the staff, instructors have their noses so far up in the air its and absolute joke.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this school to ANYONE unless you are an absolute idiot that has money to just throw away. The school makes a lot of promises and makes it sound too good to be true...BECAUSE IT IS!!!

I would agree with everything Eve said with the exception of the career potential once done with training. Teh Admissions Reps paint a very rosy picture of how wonderful & ucrative a career this will be. In truth, unless you already have an Aestheticians license, a position ined but, or the financial backing to start your own MedSpa, you are most likely wasting your money. In an economy such as this, I find it shameful that anyone coud be so willing to prey upon the emotions of people who's only hope is to create a viable career for themselves.
