so my wife is going to their online classes for medical billing and coding. the only thing i havent like about the school is how they do the money. i have listened to phone calls from uma to my wife about her financle aid and they seem to find every way on not to give it to u one was oh we do not recivie it till a certain time yet i have been to college and they want money before u start and then she calls on that day they said they would get it and tell her she cant get what she is supose to get back bc she has a 1.66 gpa and is supose to have a 2.0 and she trys telling them that its bc they messed up by not sending the books and they simply tell her they dont care. im sorry but if u have to pay for this money after 6 months i belive u should get that money when u apply for it they should not send it to the school it should be sent to the sudent that way the school cant try riping ppl off and the other problem i have noticed is that at the beging they would call saying she didnt do some work which i know she did bc i would help her with it since i am a emt/fire fighter and they tell her im sorry but u havent dont this and this happened for 3 months till she told them that i put a program on the comp that shows what she does and sumits

I took UMA online program to get CPC certification. With very flexible time and tons of hands-on learning resources I passed my certification exam. UMA also provided huge perk for my hard earned grades. The school grandfathered me into an associates program. With all the credits transferring from the certification course, I got my associates in medical billing and coding in 8 months! UMA On-line program was very easy to use. In addition, the on-line program provided tons of resources regarding related subjects, links to online quizzes, and power point presentations and summary slides which allowed me to review the material as many times as I needed. Starting school, I didn?t do as much research as I should have but, with helpful advices from the staff. The whole process was easy and I really gained great amount of knowledge. I loved that I could study at the convenience of my own time 24/7, I could study anywhere that I can take my laptop to and in I enjoyed convenience of learning at my own pace. Although I?ve never met the staff from Ultimate Medical Academy, they were all so nice and helpful. I especially appreciated their availability. Even with the 2 hour time difference, if I had a question, I was able to get a hold of somebody to answer my questions. Student Learner Adviser would fairly regularly check to see if everything is well and to update me on new news which made me feel in the loop even though I attended school from afar. When I got CPC certification, the career services provided big help in finding me a job. When I found the place of hire that I was interested in, my career adviser enthusiastically scored me an interview and with great qualifications I earned through school, I ended up finding a job on my first interview!

PLEASE CALL FIRST THE HOSPITALS, CLINICS TO SEE IF THEY HIRE PEOPLE FROM THAT SCHOOL. IT HAPPENS TO ME....NOBODY WANTS TO HIRE PEOPLE FROM THAT SCHOOL SPECIALLY FROM THE X-RAYS PROGRAM.

I have had many disappointments with UMA. At the beginning with the admission reps - they are sales people that will "SELL" you what you want to hear. Please do ALL your research and ask lots of questions!!!! DO NOT BE SHY - ask a student for thwir number and call them later to ask their opinion of the school. I have been told so many things that in the end it has all fallen apart. The teachers are the best. Most of them strive to make sure that you succeed. Please research research research before you sign on the dotted line. Take a friend or parent with you when you go for your 1st admission meeting - so that you have another set of ears listening to what is being promised to you. I am now on externship and my tentative dates have all been postponed and so on.

Its a Great Learning Campus I Do Admit That The Teachers Are Grand well My Teacher For Basic X Ray Ms Samantha Brooks Knows what she says...BUt The Way Finacial aid Tells You All Is Paid By your grants and loan to then getting calls at home and letters stating i have to make payments in order to stay in school.... And If I dont pay em i will not be able to finish my externship and will not recieve my certification of completion was bull... I Am Already in my last two months of classes for anantomy and i now can not finish due to not paying my balance.. Not everyone can just get money without a job or have family help when unemployment denies you and when times are really hard... They say they will help with which ever issue, It;s funny they know my situation and know im doing my best to be able to comply.. bu basically dont care..... I recomend ask lots of questions before signing any paperwork... Cause i now owe them 16,500.... and not able to finish what i really wanted.... Not even having good grades helped me out.. so take your time do your homework Cause believe me they are gonna sell you dreams so that you can sign for loans..... oohh well back to dopeboy ambitions and then people wonder why others do things to survive.... My Name Is Robert A Cartagena and I Have been as hosnest with you that reads this as best as i can god bless and take your time before you sign the dotted lines...

The counselor told me I didn't have to wait to hear from Wia a governemnt school funding prior to entering class. He told me it happens all the time students begin class and it takes up to 6 months
anyway for the school office to get the financial aid grants. I informed I have some prob;ems retaining new material since I had been on
disability for 13 yrs and my age. He again advised me that didn't matter,
since the school had tutors and this similar situations are common.
