Biology Bachelor's Degrees

If you like mathematics and science subjects, you might want to consider enrolling in a biology bachelor degree program. This four year course can open the door to a lot of opportunities. Aside from biology, botany and zoology, other science and math subjects that you may take in this kind of program include chemistry, physics, trigonometry and calculus.

Although an associate degree may be enough to earn a position as biology technician, a lot of big corporations and research institutions require their candidates to earn a four-year biology bachelor degree, even for entry-level positions. There are other career options in the field of biology, however. You could pursue a career as a biology teacher in high school, or a career as a laboratory technician, research scientist or medical representative. If you like to work outdoors, you might consider a position as a park ranger or as a scientist for an environmental organization.
