Massage Therapy Certificates
The field of massage therapy is beginning to attract more and more students who are interested in the healing arts. Laws are in place to prevent someone from practicing massage therapy without certification, in order to protect clients from phony practitioners who may cause more harm than good. Therefore, anyone interested in this field must complete, at minimum, a massage therapy certificate program before they can legally practice massage and naturopathic therapy: perhaps in a private practice, a hospital, a doctor's office, a spa, a salon or a clinic.
There are myriad massage schools offering massage therapy certificate programs, with many different options and focuses. Some programs are tiny, one-professor operations, while others are located in departments of large universities. It's up to you to do the research and decide what massage therapy program might work best for you.
