Association of Teacher Educators – The ATE is a national organization dedicated to improving education for teachers on a K-12 through university level. Representing over 1000 universities and major school systems, as well as seats on the National Council for Accreditation, membership with the ATE offers access to an extensive network of colleagues and impressive leadership opportunities, as well as chances for awards and scholarships.
Association of American Educators – The AAE is a national, nonprofit, nonunion teachers association with the mission of advancing the profession through personal and professional growth, advocacy and protection, and promoting excellence in one's craft. Membership is open to students, working professionals, retired educators, and supporters alike, and offers access to legal protection, supplemental insurance, and scholarships and grants.
National Council of Teachers of English – The NCTE is an organization founded with the purpose of promoting the development of literacy and language in society through improved learning and teaching of English and related language arts and sciences. Student membership affords access to journals, conferences, professional development tools, and exclusive online content.
American Federation of Teachers – Associated with the AFL-CIO, the AFT represents the needs of pre-K through 12th grade teachers, paraprofessionals, higher education faculty, and school staff at 3,000 local affiliates across the country. Union members have access to healthcare, legal and financial services, and scholarship opportunities.
